[Heinrich] Martin Meder, a single farmer from Saxony, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronstadt under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Holstein on 7 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 43 along with his new wife Anna Maria.
In 1794 [sic], Johann Peter Meder left Dönhof.
In 1795 [sic], Heinrich Martin Meder and his family moved from Holstein to Dönhof.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Martin Meder came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that Heinrich Martin Meder came from the German village of Langenstein in Sachsen (Saxony).
