Discussion & Documentation

[Johann] Heinrich Bohle, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Johann Heinr. Bohle and his wife Maria Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Cäsarsfeld. Heinrich is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9 along with a new wife Katharina.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Bohle came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony) while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Wachelderbusch.
