Johann[es] Alt, a farmer, and his wife Regina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 August 1766 aboard a ship named Кир Иоанн (Cyrus John) under the command of Midshipman Gavriil Poddubskii.
Johannes Alt and his wife Regina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Stephan on 24 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Alt was a farmer from the German region of Riedesel. The 1767 census records that Johannes Alt was a weaver (Weber) from the German village of Lauterbach.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Alt family among the Volga German colonies.
