Johann Schein [sic], a farmer, his wife Anna, children (Philipp, age 16; Margaretha, age 13; Lorenz, age 8; Johann, age 6; Nikolaus, age 4), and sister-in-law [wife's sister] Magdalena [surname not recorded] (age 22) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.
Johannes Scheidt, a farmer, his wife Anna Barbara, and children (Johann Philipp Heinrich, age 16; Margaretha, age 12; Lorenz, age 9) are recorded on the 1767 census of Rosenheim in Household No. 62 along with stepdaughter, Anna Katharina Werth. They had arrived in Rosenheim on 15 March 1766.
Lorenz Scheidt and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Rosenheim in Household No. Rm19.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Scheidt came from the German region of Dienheim. The 1767 census records that Johannes Scheidt came from the German region of Zentos.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Scheidt family among the Volga German colonies.
