Gottlieb Glazar, a cavalry soldier (Husar), and his wife Anna Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Galka on 1 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15.
The 1767 census records that Gottlieb Glazar came from the village of Jena.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
