Johann Heinrich & Maria Johanetta Just had four children whose baptisms are recorded in the parish register of Wolfenhausen: (1) Friedrike, baptized 4 February 1756; twins (2) & (3) Sophia and Anna Katharina, baptized 5 March 1760; and (4) Johann Friedrich, baptized 12 April 1762.
Johann Heinrich Jost, a hunter (Jäger), his wife Maria, and children (Friederika, age 10¼; Sophia, age 6; Anna Katharina, age 6; Friedrich, age 5) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.
Johann Heinrich Jost is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 136.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Heinrich Jost was a hunter from the German region of Runkel, while the 1767 census records that he was a tailor (Schneider) from the German village of Wolfenhausen in the region of Runkel.
