Caspar Hasch [sic], a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Katharina (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the hooker Die Jungfer Dietrika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.

Casper Haass [sic], his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Catharina (age 5) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that daughter Catharina died en route.

Johann Kaspar Haas, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Stephan on 24 August 1767.

They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Caspar Hasch [sic] came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Steinbach.
