Johann Kaspar Brüdersohn, a tanner (Gerber), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 27 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20.

The 1767 census records that Johann Kaspar Brüdersohn came from the German town of Lübeck and that his wife came from the Swedish village of Stralsund.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
