Widow Margaretha Schmidt, a farmer's wife, and her children (Johannes, age 18; Anna Maria, age 15; Gabriel, age 12) settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 6 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.
The 1767 census records that Margaretha Schmidt came from the town of Saarlouis.
