Heinrich Hoffmann, a single farmer, and his brother Andreas, also a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.
Heinrich Hoffmann and Andreas Hoffmann are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johann Heinrich Hoffmann (age 24), a farmer, his [new] wife Anna Elisabeth (age 19), and his brother Andreas Hoffmann (age 21) are recorded on the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 154.
In 1796, Heinrich Hoffmann and his family moved from Warenburg to Kratzke.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Hoffmann came from the German region of Hanau. The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Hoffmann came from the German village of Niederdorfelden in the Nassau region.
