There are two Schneider families that settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 13 August 1767. They are presumed to be related because they traveled together and are recorded next to each other on the 1767 census of Brabander. Their exact relationship, if any, needs further research.
(1) Anton Schneider and Catharina Hartmann were married 26 May 1757 in Hainzell.
The births of their children are also recorded in Hainzell: (1) Andreas, born 30 May 1758; (2) Anna Catharina, born 28 January 1760; and (3) Gertrud, born 16 April 1762.
A fourth child, Anna Barbara Schneider, daughter of Anton Schneider & Anna Katharina, was born 22 April 1766 and baptized 23 April 1766 in Büdingen as they prepared for departure to Russia.
Anton Schneider, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Andreas, age 8; Katharina, age 6; Barbara, age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard a ship named Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

The widow and family of Andreas Schneider are recorded on the 1798 census of Dehler in Household No. Dl06.
