Just Schreiber, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and son Johann (age 17½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English barque named George under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.
Jost Schreiber, his wife Catharina, and son Johann (age 17) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Just Schreiber died and his widow and son settled in the Volga German colony of Paulskaya on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Just Schreiber came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Katharina Schreiber came from the German village of Bischofsheim in the Darmstadt region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schreiber family among the Volga German colonies.
