Widow Susanna Philippina Wagner and her daughters (Katharina Louisa, age 20; Maria Elisabeth, age 18) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Citadel under the command of Midshipman Gregory Bukharin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 83.
The 1767 census records that Philippina Wagner was the widow of a craftsman (Handwerker) and came from the German village of Krotzenburg near Hanau.
There are no known surviving male descendants of this Wagner family among the Volga German colonies.
