Jakob Hirschbeck, a single farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Galka on 19 August 1764. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 13.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Hirschbeck came from the German village of Ilbing [Elbing?].

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
