Johann Ernst Fried, a single soldier (Soldat), settled in the Volga German colony of Galka on 11 February 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9.
The 1767 census records that Johann Ernst Fried came from the German village of Westerhilden [?].
