Jakob Trautmüller, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English frigate named Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax along with servant Johann Silfius (age 17¼). [Johann Silfius is not recorded on the passenger list published by Pleve.]
Jakob Trautmüller (age 35), a farmer, his wife Katharina (age 31), and daughter Anna Maria (age ½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Messer in Household No. 51. They had arrived in Messer on 18 June 1767.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Jakob Trautmüller came from the German region of Isenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Trautmüller family among the Volga German colonies.
