Peter Beller, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767. Sons Weigand and Johann Georg are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 83.
The 1767 census records that Weigand Beller came from the German village of Köthen in the region of Stolberg.
