Wendel Wiedmann, son of Martin & Anna Wiedmann, was born 14 November 1728 in Mühlburg.
Wendel Wiedmann, his wife Barbara, and daughter Louisa (age 11) immigrated first to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in the city of Schleswig on 9 May 1761. They swore an oath to King Friedrich of Denmark on 24 July 1761. They settled in the colony of Friderichsfeld on 8 August 1761 and are last recorded in the Danish colonies on 12 January 1765.
They joined the migration to Russia.
Wendel Wiedmann [published errantly as Wittmann on the 1767 census], a farmer, and his wife Barbara settled in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 37.
The Eichhorns record that Wendel Wiedmann came from the German village of Spöck in the region of Baden-Durlach. The 1767 census records that Wendel Wittmann came from the German region of Durlach.
There are no known surviving male descendants of this Wiedmann family among the Volga German colonies.
