Hans Georg Zeitz, a farmer, and his family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), arriving in Flensburg on 7 November 1761.
They left the Danish colonies on 10 June 1763 and joined the migration to Russia.
Georg Zeitz and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27.
The 1767 census records that Georg Zeitz came from the German village of Tittling in the Württemberg region.
