Wilhelm Übell, a farmer, and his wife Rosina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the hooker Anna Catharina under the Skipper Adolph Scharpenberg.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17.
Following the destruction of Keller, Wilhelm Übell and his family relocated to the colony of Neu-Kolonie and are recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Nk21.
The death of Wilhelm Ubell in 1823 is recorded on the 1834 census of Neu-Kolonie in Household No. 26.
The 1767 census records that Wilhelm Ibel came from the German region of Kurmainz.
