Nikolaus Köhler, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and daughter Katharina (age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.
Nikolaus Keller, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Nikolaus Köhler came from the German region of Laubach. The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Keller came from the German village of Isistadt [?] in the Brandenburg region.
