Andreas Hoffmann, a craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 27 July 1765. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 14 along with his new wife, Anna Maria from the German village of Gomdeckernorch in the Württemberg region.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Hoffmann came from the Swedish town of Stockholm.
