Johann Bonecker, a farmer, his wife Christina, and children (Johann, age 19; Anna, age 8; Margaretha, age 5¼; Konrad, age 1¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard a barque named Der Junge Mattias (The Young Mattias) under the command of Skipper Johann Gottfried Selander.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Bangert on 1 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Bonecker came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Johann Bonecker came from the German village of Pulheim in the region of Darmstadt.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
