Franz Netger, a framer, his wife Anna, and children (Nikolaus, age 15; Johanna, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Vergoldete Weintraube (The Guilded Grape) under the command of Skipper Joachim Hermann Andersen.
Frantz Netter [sic] and his children (Nicolaus, age 16; Anna, age 8) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Franz Netger, a physician (Arzt), his wife Anna Maria, and children (Nikolaus, age 18; Johanna, age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Hölzel in Household No. 5. They had arrived in Hölzel on 11 September 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Franz Netger came from the German region of Schlesien (Silesia). The 1767 census records that Franz Netger came from the German village of Frunkenstadt [probably Frankenstein] in the region of Schlesien (Silesia).
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
