Franz Netger and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Hermann Anderson.
Frantz Netter [sic] and his children (Nicolaus, age 16; Anna, age 8) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hölzel on 11 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Franz Netger was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a physician (Arzt).
The 1767 census records that Franz Netger came from the German village of Frunkenstadt [probably Frankenstein] in the region of Schlesien (Silesia).
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
