Michael Peters, a baker (Bäcker), and his wife Agnetha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767. Michael is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 105 along with a note that Agnetha had died on 24 August 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Michael Peters came from the German region of Anklam while the 1767 census records that he came from the region of Analom.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Peters family among the Volga German colonies.
