Discussion & Documentation

Johann Adam Müller, servant of Peter Ruhl, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 August 1766 aboard the galliot named St. Johannes (Saint John) under the command of Skipper Carstens Stahl.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana on 16 September 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 53 along with the Peter Ruhl family where he is recorded as the son of Johann Müller.

The 1767 census records that Johann Adam Müller came from the German region of Nidda.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Müller family among the Volga German colonies.
