Klaus Friedrich Hildebrant, a craftsman (Handwerker) settled in the Volga German colony of Schäfer on 25 May 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49 along with his new wife Margaretha Elisabeth, the widow of Johann Ziegler, and her children.

The 1767 census records that Klaus Friedrich Hildebrant came from the German village of Segeberg in the region of Holstein.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Hildebrandt family among the Volga German colonies.
