Adam Heick, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and sons (Heinrich, age 9; Johann, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a pink named Новая Двинка (New Dvinka [a river in Russia]) under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
Adam died and his widow Anna Maria remarried to Wilbold Frick with whom they had arrived in Oranienbaum.
The combined Heick/Frick family settled in the Volga German colony of Köhler on 21 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 45.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Adam Heick came from the German region of Schönborn.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
