Widow Gertrude Busch, mother-in-law of Leonhard Vitois, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adam Drath.
She settled in the Volga German colony of Hölzel on 11 September 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 52 along with her aforementioned son-in-law.
