Johannes Andreas Desch, son of Johannes Desch & Eva Bellinger, was baptized in St. Martin's Catholic Chuch in Orb on 13 January 1743.

Widower [Johannes] Andreas Desch, a miller (Müller), and his servant Anna [surname not recorded] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the pink Lev under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.

Johannes Andreas Desch, a miller (Müller), and his [new] wife Margaretha [Schössler] are recorded on the 1767 census of Pfeifer in Household No. 12. They had arrived in Pfeifer on 20 August 1767.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Desch came from the German region of Mainz while the 1767 census records that he came from Orb.
