Peter Stieber, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and daughters (Engel, age 14; Susanna, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Diana under the command of Skipper Markus Draguhn.
Surviving daughter Susanna (age 10) settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 11 August 1767. She is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27 along with the Franz Joseph Mader family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Stieber and Mader families.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that the Stieber family came from Luxembourg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Stieber family among the Volga German colonies.
