Georg Walter, a single miller (Müller), is recorded on the 1767 list of Beauregard colonists (No. 161) along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Ober-Monjou in 1768.
The 1767 census records that Georg Walter came from the German village of Wehrheim.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Walter family among the Volga German colonies.
