Discussion & Documentation

Zorn Endersen, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Enders on 27 March 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32 along with his wife Maria Magdalena and stepchildren (Anna Kunigunde, age 19; Jakob Dietrich, age 15). The surname of the stepchildren is not recorded but is possibly Moritz.

The 1767 census records that Zorn Endersen came from the village of Flensburg in Holstein.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Endersen family among the Volga German colonies.
