Christoph Flemming, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Anna Juliana settled in the Volga German colony of Enders on 27 March 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34.

The 1767 census records that Christoph Flemming came from the German village of Guben in the region of Sachsen (Saxony) and that Anna Juliana came from the village of Schleswig in the Holstein region.
