Anton Schumann [sic], son of Heinrich Schumann & Anna Catharina Paul, was baptized 20 August 1742 in Ockstadt.
Anton Schumann [sic] married 1 April 1766 in Ockstadt to Maria Anna Schmitt, daughter of Faisti Schmitt & Margaretha Margaretha Baader.
Anton Schuhmann and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Anton Schumann and his wife Maria are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 78.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Anton Schuhmann was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a tailor (Schneider).
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Anton Schuhmann came from the German village of Ockstadt.
