Lorenz Schäfer, his wife Anna Katharina, and children (Johannes, age 4½; Mathias, age 2½; Anna, age ½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kamenka in Household No. 42. They had arrived in Kamenka on 6 July 1765.

Lorenz Schäfer, his wife Katharina, and children (Johannes, age 11; Mattias, age 10; Anna Maria, age 9; Andreas, age 5½; Georg, age 2) are recorded on the 1775 census of Kamenka in Household No. 38.

In 1794, Johannes Schäfer and his family moved from Kamenka to Husaren.

Johannes Schäfer from Volmer [sic], his wife Barbara Dister, and son Peter (age 16) are recorded on the 1798 census of Husaren in Household No. Hn20.

Georg Schäfer [perhaps the same person as 16-year-old Peter in 1798] is recorded on the 1834 census of Husaren in Household No. 97 along with a note that his son Michael Schäfer moved from Volmer to Liechtling.

Michael Schäfer from Kamenka [sic] and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Leichtling in Household No. 22.

The 1767 census records that Lorenz Schäfer came from the German region of Westfalen.
