Franz Hasselwanter, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Johann, age 20; Barbara, age 15) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adam Drath.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Keller where Franz[is] is recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 62 along with a new wife Katharina.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Franz Hasselwanter was a farmer from the German region of Ansbach. The 1767 census records that he was a brush maker (Bürstenmacher) from the German town of München.
