Johann[es] Daum, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and their children (Joseph Burhard, age 18½; Charlotta, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the galliot Die Fortuna under the command of Skipper Peter Stahl.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 21.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Daum came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Johannes Daum came from the German village of Rohrbach in the Lautenbach region.
