Johann[es] Fischer, a single farmer, his sister Margaretha (age 18), and his brother Johann Friedrich (age 17½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Matias under the command of Skipper David Wollert.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 18 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 67.
Maria Fischer from Dönhof is recorded on the 1798 census of Schönchen in Household No. Sn17.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johannes Fischer came from the German region of Riedesel.
