Johann Georg Benerberger, a soldier (Soldat), his wife Anna Barbara, and daughter Maria Theresia (age 12) settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 6 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10.

The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Benerberger came from the German village of Dinkelsbühl.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
