Andreas Dornhof, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and son Simon (age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Heidemann.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 13 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 106.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Dornhof came from the German village of Oelsberg in the Trier region.
