Joseph Nutz, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and daughter Anna (age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English galliot Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there in Household No. 73.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Joseph Nutz came from the German region of Isenburg, while the 1767 census records that Joseph Neth [sic] came from the German village of Miltenberg.
