Johann Adam Dillmann, son of Johann Balthasar Dillmann & Anna Maria Wilg, was baptized 7 July 1766 in the Lutheran Cathedral (Evangelische Kirche Dom).
Balthasar Dillmann, his wife Anna, and children (Maria, age 7; Michael, age 4; Christian, age 2; Johann, age 6-weeks) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Balthas. Thielmann, his wife Anna Maria, and daughter Anna Barbara (age 7) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that mother Anna Maria and daughter Anna Barbara died en route.
Balthasar is recorded [erroneously with surname Bielmann] in Household No. 34 on an appendix to the 1767 census of Paulskaya along with a new wife Margaretha.
In 1771, Balthasar Thielmann and his family moved from Kind to Schaffhausen.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Balthasar Dillmann came from the German village of Schönberg.
