Johann Illensberger [sic], a farmer, his wife Susanna, and son Franziscus (age 13) arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 25 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Новая Двинка (New Dvinka [a river in Russia]) under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
Son Franz is recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb41.
The surname is recorded as Ilgensberger on the 1834 census of Göbel where Georg (son of Franz) is recorded as being exiled to Siberia in 1820.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Illensberger [sic] came from the German region of Mainz.
