Johann Pfeiner, a farmer, and his wife Agatha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Jungfer Friederika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 May 1767. Johann is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 56 along with a note that his wife died there on 6 October 1767 and that he, too, is dying.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Pfeiner came from the German region of Pfalz.
