Magnus Riemer, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Bartel, age 14; Johann, age 10; Maria, age 7; Christina, age 4; Heinrich, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Magnus Riemer was Catholic from the German region of Fulda. The 1767 census records that he was Lutheran from the German region of Darmstadt.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Riemer family among the Volga German colonies.
