Frantz Jacob Schüttler from Müntzesheim in the area of Baden-Durlach & Anna Margaretha née Müller, widow of the late Johann Philip Weber from Hoffstädten, were married on 11 June 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.
Franz [Jakob] Schitler, a farmer, his wife Anna, and daughter Margaretha (age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17 along with Franz Jakob's new wife Christina.
The 1767 census records that Franz Jakob Schitler came from the German village of Münzesheim in the Baden region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
