Johann Hettich [sic], a single hosier, arrived from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 May 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Jakob Janson.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Hussenbach and is recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Hs048.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Hettich [sic] came from the German region of Weimar.

This surname is Güttig in later generations in Hussenbach.
