Bartholomaeus Keifer, a weaver (Weber), his wife Anna Katharina, and daughters (Anna Katharina, age 5½; Johanna Friedrika, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Bartholomaeus Keifer came from the German region of Trier while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Meila [?].
