Discussion & Documentation

Johann Georg Kellermann & Johanne Maria Wagner were married on 9 April 1766 in Roßlau.

Georg Kellermann, a miller (Müller), and his wife Johanna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Georg Keltermann [sic], his wife Johanna Maria, and daughter Johanna Sophia (born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that newborn Johanna Sophia also died en route.

They are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kaneau on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17.

The 1767 census records that Georg Kellermann came from the German region of Anhalt-Zerbst.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
